Is there a "best" uv map to use as your source to do conversions from?

I'm wondering if it matters what uv set you convert from? Eg does M4 converted to V4 give better results or Does V4 to M4 give better results? I plan on doing a couple of conversions via daz's map transfer, and was just wondering does it matter what source you transfer from? Or are the results all the same? I need to know so I'll have a UV set base to use as my primary and transfer to various other uv's such as m5 and V5. I am aware of the seam issues, that I know how to fix. It's the accuracy of the translation data I am interested in. If they are all the same then even better. Thanks.
