Digital Art Zone

All of my carrara files are suddenly defaulting to be opened with Carrara 8.1 Pro instead of C8.5 beta.

Anyone know why that would happen and how to reset it so that files created with C8.5 beta will automatically open C8.5 beta?

(for now I’m just opening the file from C8.5 or have to browse through list to pick C8.5)

What Operating System?

Windows 7, 64 bit OS (and running C8.5 64 bit and C8.1 Pro 64 bit)

yes, lol! mine defaults to C6pro!
I haven’t bothered changing it but on my old laptop it never could find C7Pro until I installed C8pro, after uninstalling C5pro it would not find Carrara at all no matter how many times I fiddled with default program prefferences or open with!!
so got used to never opening by clicking on files!
have not tried changing it now as I never open them that way, I drag and drop them into Carrara mostly!
