just a silly question
when someone is a "member"
and when a "new member"
i'm guessing it's the post count.... I'm curious to see what might be above member, if anything, and if that is in fact how it works
Apparently New Member is up to 25 posts, 26 or more becomes Member.

Yes, I can confirm that :-)
and we get a snazzy green square under our name!
will this be like a belt color that might change as we advance in rank? will they always be squares or will we get other geometry as well?
for instance, "watch out green squares, the yellow triangle is coming to lay down some truth!" >:(
Ok, then I guess this post makes me a Member.
Hmmm, where's the badge?
So I have been a Member here since June 2004 and now I'm a " New Member " until my post count reaches 25, WIERD!!!!!! 8 years of loyalty means nothing it seems unless you are a prolific poster.
Some prolific folks are starting to get second squares (answers that question) and become "Active Members". Do we know the threshold? Seems to be around 250-300 or so.
I didn't reach that in the old forums (ended at 247), but maybe sometime I will in these.
251 gives the 2nd square and active member status.
We are not certain yet where the next "graduation" will take place, it obviously is not at 501.
If the pattern holds, it's going to be at... 2500. 25, 250...
Yes we were sort of thinking along those lines.
At 250 you become an Active Member such as I.
