That's great, I already see some new dots on the feet and a few on the hands I don't recognize! :) Try not to add so many that it gets too confusing though, haha.
I'd probably add the Head-Neck movement morphforms and the Eyes Left-Right/Up-Down morphforms, but keep in mind that saving a pose won't save those unless you include morphs. It's a good idea not to use morphforms when creating poses that you intend to share with anyone else.
Very glad we could inspire you and thanks in advance for your work so far (Adzan too)!
Absolutely incredible! I'll be standing in line in a heart beat for this update!
Thank you, SnowSultan and PDSmith.
All genesis-bones are now accounted for, but i'm having some trouble with the pose controls. PowerPose can control the gen4 morphforms. The genesis figure however has Pose Controls instead of morphforms. Haven't figured out how to incorporate these, if possible at all.
As odd as this sounds, if you present a link to your current image of the Genesis figure with pins (page 2 of this thread) to one of the many people with DAZ before their name or some other location...it may spark interest for them to assist you with the advice or tech info you may need to close out this awesome fix.
As it stands I don't see how this could have been overlooked by the tech people especially after Genesis has been around for a while, D|S being updated so many times, and the invaluable use of this tool, but this one feature not being updated says a lot about a lack of QA being done and the claims D|S has been updated...this feature is still stuck in the dark ages of DAZ 3 and older.
That might be worth a shot, but i'm afraid development of PowerPose stopped years ago and don't think it'll get picked up again. I'll release it as is now, with just the bones.
I tested the templates in DS4.0 and in DS4.5, both seem to work fine. Just installed 4.5 today, i also got me the SDK, so maybe i'll make my own powerpose from the ground up someday.
Ok, so here it is : a Genesis template for the PowerPose plugin.
You can download the files here (edit : replaced with new link). I also included a pdf with installation instructions.
Basically you just drop the templates in the PowerPose directory, open the file Templates.dsx in the powerpose directory with a plain text editor or an xml-editor and add the following lines between the last and at the end of the file :
Next time you start Studio and select a genesis figure, powerpose will look like this :
I didn't even know the Carpals were a new body part. ;) Great job, it installed fine here and works just like it should. Congratulations on fixing a Studio feature that has needed fixing for a very long time!
Thank you for the update.
I learnt something new and also learnt why the pectorals hadn't worked for me so it's been a very productive week
Did Daz reply to anyone regarding all the awesome things this thread has achieved
Thanks for all your hard work. Got it all set up. WOOT! :-)
Thanks for the kind words, glad i can give something back to this fine community here.
I find the tongue might just be a bit too much of a good thing, but i had to have all bones in there :)
It's fun for me to fiddle with things like this, might even do a few more (Subdragon perhaps?)
Dragon would be cool!
Blackfeather, are you able to add normal morphs to a Powerpose template, like expressions, or only translation/rotation values? Fixme's idea for controlling basic facial expressions (like squint, mouthopen, mouthcorners, etc.) would be another one to consider if it's possible.

I did let a few of them know, hopefully someone will stop by and at least notice what's been accomplished here. :)

No, i was only able to add bones. I know PowerPose can call on morphs for gen4 figures, but i wasn't able to do that for genesis.
No problem, thanks for letting us know and many thanks again for the great update.
Thank you very much for this needed fix!
I've linked this thread in the Star Trek builders tread. as the powerpose plugin is use by a few other there for their Trek based image.
SnowSulton if it's approved I would suggest you update your very first post with a link to Blackfeather1973's entry.
Looking forward to using this! Thank you so much :-)
Awesome, thanks :)
Oh gosh, I didn't even know powerpose existed before this. So this thread was awesome and helpful twice over. :D Thanks so much for the fix! My life is going to be a LOT easier now.
Thank you so much for the genesis powerpose template, BlackFeather1973!
Thank you very much!!!!
Thank you so much :-)
I truly appreciate your enhancement to PoserPose, BlackFeather1973!
I had no idea so much people still used PowerPose. Glad i could help out and make it a little better.
Thanks for chiming in, appreciate it :)
Yes, many thanks for this. I had completely forgotten about it and now want to get to grips with it as a result of your work on it.
Thanks Blackfeather I am glad to see that someone was able to solve the problem much faster than DAZ S O O N!!!!!!!! I am bookmarking this page so when I do my 4.5 upgrade this weekend to be able to use Genesis in Poser I will do the mod to Powerpose so when Paul cracks his whip for another DS lesson I will be ready!
Thank you SnowSultan for starting this thread, thank you adzan for getting the ball rolling and finally thank you BlackFeather1973 for finishing this most excellent update.
Just wanted to say thank you very much to BlackFeather1973 for creating the new templates for Genesis and to SnowSultan for pointing out this great tool within Daz. It has really made posing so much easier. :)
I updated the first post (and thread title) with links to Blackfeather's files, and also posted the file on my own server as backup (if that isn't OK for any reason Blackfeather, I will remove it).
I'm also glad to see that many others are using this very helpful tool. I wonder what we can fix next?... ;)
Always good to have a backup, SnowSultan, ofcourse i don't mind. As these templates are the result of a joint effort of this community, i feel they're everyone's to have and to share.
And like you said, who knows what's next ? Looking forward to the next collab... :-)
Thanks so much to Blackfeather, adzan and SnowSultan for looking at this problem - the fix will be really useful to me.
