Bio

A hardware monkey by qualification (many, many years ago!), I was catapulted over the fence into the software monkey cage quite early. Then twenty years sitting in front of a keyboard tapping keys - some people would call that experience…  ;o)

I discovered (well, rediscovered* really) the world of 3D software in an internet cafe in Thailand (during the 4th year of a one year career break…). So with time on my hands, very limited funds, and a renewed interest I started playing with the imaginary world again, scouring the net to see just how far I could get with as little money as possible. Eventually picked up a copy of Poser 6 for $39, even joined the DAZ PC for a couple of years under an alias.

I make models and textures and do scripts and stuff for my own amusement. If I do anything that I think’s good enough it gets uploaded to ShareCG and Renderosity as freebies.

*The first program I ever wrote was when I was at school in the mid 70’s, on a then state-of-art BBC micro, to do a 3D line drawing of a fighter jet that I could rotate with the U,D,L,R keys. I’d also come across Bryce 2.0 in the latter half of the 90’s - loved it, but didn’t go anywhere with it.
