Inner frame within Viewpane

I seem to have acquired a frame within a frame with the numbers 254:165 in the top left-hand corner.

I feel it must have something to do with 4.5; don't ask me why but just a feeling!

I would like to know where it came from but, more importantly, how to get rid of it.

I can't find anything about it in the "Manual".

    This has been reported as a bug. You need to go into Render Settings, and change the setting to Active Viewport.

    This "bug" has been around since DS 1.8.
    As he said, the fix is to reset your view port.

    There was no bug for me in DS2, DS3 or the earlier versions of DS4, this is a new thing in 4.5.0.114.

    I'm in 4.5.0.49 Pro and the error is there. I think it's a 4.5 thing generally.

    Thanks for the suggested fixes, people. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to stay fixed.

    You have to do that each time you run DS 4.5 for the moment. Boring I know, but I only need to do it once a day.

    I suppose I could learn to love it ... particularly if I could uncover the secret of fixing a selected smiley to my post!
