OTHER FORMATS

Hello everyone.......
as the title say's,i have another formats like lwo,3ds,gsm,max and i don't know if i can use them in daz.....this is my first time using daz so,
if anyone can tell me how i can use them i'll be much appreciate it.

    The only format that seems universal and works fairly well for 3D interchange is OBJ for static geometry.

    If you still have access to 3dsmax and whatever program wrote the files almost all 3d programs can export an OBJ.

    hi everybody....
    i am little shy of what i'm gonna say so,here it is........i need to know how i can use lwo,gsm,max and other formats in daz if it possible and how i can create my own figures,clothes,props....ect.
    i looked all over the web but i just keep finding the basics..............please,i'll accept any kind of help.

    not sure what formats Studio supports or how to import them, i'm sure someone else here does...

    as for creating figures and props for use in studio you will need some sort of modeling program like hexagon, zbrush, blender etc

    On the matter of importing 3ds Max files... It's best to export either as OBJ. or FBX. Then Import in Daz. :)

    You would need import plugins to be able to use those formats in DS, and we don't have any for those formats, you would also need to have atleast 3dsmax 8 installed on your system as well as a max plugin for DS to be able to use the max file.

    Hexagon will open 3DS files, and Bryce will open 3DS and LWO. Both are still free at the moment, and they both have a Bridge to DAZ Studio. It may be a way around it for you.
