Mountain Troll [Commercial]

It's early days still with tons of work to still do, but we figured we'd share a sneak peek of a new Genesis figure we have "in the oven".

This handsome fellow will come with all the bone-jarring accessories you'd expect for a man of his stature.

Although the figure shape and textures are basically finalized, the clothing isn't.

We are still planning a beard, and a few other items.

Feedback and/or suggestions will still be considered at this stage, so feel free to post any suggestions you have in this thread...

What UV set is the texture based on?

The figure uses a custom UV set that was based on M4 UV's.

Awesome...I want one :)....and a female version too pretty please.

Some shackles for his wrist and ankles would be nice, just in case we need to lock him up.

I can just image him tired and sad locked in a dungeon waiting for his true love to find him :)

So if we apply a m4 uv set will it fit or will there be any misplacement?

You can simply select the M4 UV's set and then apply any M4 (or Freak 4) texture

It just means that there is a new "MountainTroll" UV set added to the list of possible UV sets to use with the Genesis figure. You can still use any of the other UV sets.

Looking good, but I'm not sure about the pearly-white teeth - maybe an alternate texture for the yellowed, snaggletooth look?

With trolls, it's the mothers you have to watch out for - just look what happened with Grendel...

Just add a dark yellow diffuse. Its best the base texture is white. But yes, the teeth will have to have some texture to it.

One for the library I have use for him already but it can wait. :) Yes he is just perfect for what I have in mind. Takes a lot for me to get excited about new shapes but I am with this one.

Ohh. He's quite adorable! lol ~ Since there's going to be beard hair, maybe some slight hanging shoulder hair, tufts on the back of the ears & hanging eyebrow hair. Of course, then there'd have to be toe hair, wouldn't there? (An extra fig leaf tex for the loin cloth?)

    Great little guy!

God y'people just come up with the most awesometastic Genesis stuff. Right now my own Genesis is an experiment in "how many morphs and characters you can tuck into it"... first the aquatic humanoid, now this. Wagh!

Could we get an extra-fluffy cow/lion tail for it (like some trolls in Scandinavian folklore are depicted to have)? Otherwise mine will go and knock on RawArt's Tauran II's door...

That reminds me of the 'Moms: nature's apex predators' comic a couple of weeks ago on A Girl and Her Fed http://agirlandherfed.com/1.1034.html

No Zbrush used here - the morphing was done in LightWave.

Here's an update - we've given him a beard and (thanks for the suggestion) a set of shackles with pose-able chains.
