Anyone else having trouble downloading files?

My download manager which worked fine with the old site now reports a lot of these errors, which seem to indicate that the server has a problem:

2012-05-28 20:14:30: ERROR! - System.Net.WebException: The server committed a protocol violation. - file not saved...

If you feel that it should work, then you could try filing a bug report

    https://bugs.daz3d.com/my_view_page.php

Daz web search in the dropdown box on the top right

However, is it not possible that you will need to remake your download mananger to suit the new forum software.

Thanks, I have however already sent a report to cs @ daz3d.com

The download manager has already been rewritten to suit the new store, and as such it works fine. The error report however indicates that the server doesn't respond properly to a standard protocol request, and it happens at random. If it was my code that was bad it should happen with every file.

Still, I can't rule out that the code needs some tweaking to make it work, so I am looking into that as well.

Well there definitely seem to be something wrong with the server.

Just did a binary compare between some files downloaded with my own download manager, and files downloaded with IE8 and Firefox.

The tests showed that the server appends some error messages to files downloaded with IE8 and Firefox, which points at some problems in the store script. See screenshot here: http://miscfiles.net//temp/0001/dazdlerr01.jpg - the file at the top is downloaded with my download manager, the file at the bottom with IE8.

It doesn't seem to affect the runtime files though, but technically speaking the files are corrupted.

    I've reported it to DAZ.
