Went for a lazy swim in a heated pool - I could take a lot of time off if every day was like today ;)

No one's been posting pictures of "cat-girls" for ages. A tradition forgotten.
    .
Is it perhaps, that this wolf-girl with a sword scared them all away? :D

Just played Perfect Cherry Blossom again for the first time in ages (Can't seem to do any arts, and I was starting to get frustrated with HoMM3) and got to Stage 5 on my first try. Did relatively well throughout the game, and pretty good in a few places. Although I "panic-bombed" far too often (Basically you're thinking "ZOMG That's gonna hit me!" and use up a bomb. A lot of times it isn't needed.). I also blinked at one point and had to bomb because it was too late to dodge. Yes - this game blinking can be hazardous, and sneezing is fatal.
    .
I wish I had a way to record it.
    .
    .
    .
Oh yeah, and my laptop insists on making the game screen very tiny and centered with a huge black letterbox around it even during fullscreen. On my desktop it stretches to fit the entire screen, which makes things SO MUCH EASIER for me while playing. Stupid laptop.

Bought Fraps, recorded Stage 2 (Where I made two of my dumbest mistakes during the run), and came out with a 6GB file. Okay so Fraps makes big files. Any program that can trim that filesize down a bit? Preferably one that does not cost $100+?
    .
Oh well. YouTube is gonna be uploading it for the next hour or three it seems, then I'll post teh link. Hopefully someone in the thread will even watch it XD
    .
Well I can hope anyway. It might give wooly a bit of insight into what to expect from the game (Watching videos of people doing Lunatic mode isn't a good way to evaluate the difficulty XD ).

Well you'll probably like the Touhou games then (Win or lose at 'em) since all of the characters are girls. Playable and enemy alike.
    .
Yeah there are some notable male characters* but they don't show up in the games (And there are males in the human village too. You just... Don't see 'em in the games.)
    .
    .
By the way how do you get spaces? Someone told me just hitting Enter twice makes them but I did that three times and no space D:

Sometimes I have to hit ENTER 3-4 times to get a space to happen - the forum software seems to be kind of random as to what I wants, depending on the time, phase of the moon, solar, flares, cosmic rays and catgirl-to-tentacle ratio. :gulp: Adding a smiley will mess it up sometimes, as well.

I'm going to have to look into these games once I get my new laptop, right now my Asus has the craptastic Intel GMA graphics adapter and I'm amazed PPro 2010 works at all! DS4.5RC3 works quite well, just s l o w l y.

Just have to wait.. 2 weeks.. to.. order... AAIIIEEE! MUST HAVE POWER NOWWWWWWW! :ahhh:

My complaint of the day: my wireless router is acting up. I was trying to download Linux via Bittorrent, but the speed fluctuates between 200 kB and 20 kB. wow. It took me three days for me to check-out of the Daz store. And I have a hard time watching some television shows on Hulu.com because the video freezes. Oddly enough, the sound continues to play even though the video plug-in shows a black screen.

Well the requirements for Embodiment of Scarlet Devil (The 6th game) is fairly low:
    Pentium 500MHz, 320MB hard disk, Direct3D, DirectX 8, 4MB VRAM, DirectSound, 32MB RAM
    .
Perfect Cherry Blossom isn't much more intensive:
    Pentium 500MHz, 500MB hard disk, Direct3D, DirectX 8, 16MB VRAM, DirectSound, 128MB RAM
    .
    (My personal favorite) Imperishable Night:
    Pentium 500MHz, 500MB hard disk, Direct3D, DirectX 8, DirectSound, 128MB RAM, 16MB VRAM
    .
And so on. The most recent, Ten Desires (Using the "Oh-GOD-I-hate-the-way-this-game-handles-lives" system used since Mountain of Faith) has these reqs:
    Pentium 1GHz, 999MiB on HDD, Direct3D, DirectX 9.0c, 128MB VRAM, DirectSound, 1GB RAM
    .
    .
    .
Info about all the games, even the prehistoric 1 ~ 5 games - including an emulator for that platform - can be found here: http://moriyashrine.weebly.com/official-touhou-games.html

Hmm... looks interesting! I'll download one and try it tonight, I have little faith in the crummy graphics on the Asus but it can't hurt to try.

    Thanks!

I'm still in the process of uploading my clip of Stage 2 right now. 38% finished and estimates another 8 ~ 10 hours >_>
    I hate Fraps's large-sized outputs. A sixGB file for a less-than four minute clip? :(
    .
*sigh* At least when I get back to Ukiah I'll have the fast download/upload speeds to help with further uploadz. Up here we don't have that great speeds.
    ..
    .
Just tried PCB again. Beat my previous High Score and even got to the boss of Stage 5. Still failed though ^_^
    .
Panic bombed a bunch *again* but overall did a bit better. I still hate the small window my laptop forces the game into.

You know you're getting old when:

    - You get excited on Friday because you can sleep late Saturday
    - "Fun Night Out" means fried chicken at the local fast-food joint
    - "Partying Late" means you're up past 10:00PM
    - "Stiff Drink" means diet soda
    - You're on a cane - and so are all your friends
    - You get a 23in monitor so you can have a bigger font
    - You fall asleep watching porn
    - You have to Google "sex" to remember what it is
    - You chase a woman - catch her - and don't remember what to do next...
    - So you play checkers with her
    - when you answer "Depends", it's because you got asked what you're wearing

Feh. Feeling old today. haven't gone out and partied in six weeks. No exotic dancers, no booze, no wild and crazy nights. Feh.

I really wish the Digi-I tyranno had such nice textures. With all the pretty scales on the belly and all the wrinkles and stuff. Displacement would make for fine wrinkles. Easy to do too. AND A BETTER TONGUE FOR LORD'S SAKE D:
The tiny stub of a tongue he has now is no good at all. :<<br /> Even with the RexPLUS morph it still is lacking. Someone should make a poseable conforming tongue prop for it. *snickers* Yeah... Right ;)

a moon gif, does this mean the moon is up in Helsinki?

it would be interesting to see the northern and southern most cities on our planet - that has a weather feed.

    still sun up in Melbourne?

when the ozone is gone, will we fry? or will the vacuum of space suck away our atmo and freeze us?

tee hee, was it the Spaceballs movie with the giant vacuum? the helmut, lol.

Nice yes, what's nicer is I'm really starting to unwind and feel a bit floppy after the unremitting tension of the last few months. I'm really not suited to a permanent job - haz bored too easy I guess :)
