    I'm putting this here because it will take forever to work my way through the idotic maze DAZ has in place for reaching Customer Service. I went to the Marketplace looking for hair for M3. I typed "M3 Hair" into the search window. I got character morphs and V3 stuff. I didn't ask for character morphs or V3,4 or anyone else!
    Why can't these sites come up with a search engine that either finds what you're looking for or else tells you it can't find it??!! Why is that such a radical idea!?

    did you try going to hair, then selecting M3 as compatible products?

    Hello all! Just thought that I'd drop by and offer up a new freebie to the forum users..... the Phlox-scanner from Enterprise.

    - It's a smartprop for V4 and M4 (with versions for either the right or left hand - your choice
    - The set also contains MAT files in DS and Poser formats as well as hand and body poses for V4 and/or M4
    - Separate Poser and Ds versions are included in the download; just install whichever version you prefer without installing files that might be otherwise unnecessary for you

    And... you can find it here:

    I did not. But I did do it that way after you suggested it and over half of what came up was for Victoria.

    And did you check how many of those had fit morphs for M3, or did you just decide to keep complaining? Because a lot of hairs are fit to MULTIPLE figures, despite what their title might say.

    ssgbryan,

    If you need the tutorial I wrote on conversions, you can find it here - http://www.mediafire.com/mattymanx - right near the top.

    Let me know which ones you are successful with and I will take them off my own list so we dont both end up doing the same models. I may be slowly getting back into doing conversions. The above one went well enough considering how unco-operative P8 was and I have a second on the way but its even easier.

    ps, I recommend you concentrate on converting ALL the model to OBJ instead of doing a complete conversion of one and then moving on to the next. Best to convert them all to OBJ before your 30 days runs out!!!

    pps, The ships by David Metlesits convert very well. I find them very easy to work with.

    Thanks for the newest ship for the collection MM! Love the "Bones drank beer here" and "This is Sparta" bumper stickers! It is a truly amazing piece of work.

    Ok

    Workflow:

    1. Export from 3dsMax to create obj. Receive obj (but not bacon)

    2. Import via obj into Poser.

    3. Save as Prop.

    4. pp2 file created. all obj information is inserted into pp2 file. Don't want that, so I need to use the obj2pp2 script.

    I have the obj2pp2 script (the new location is at: http://jwas3d.com Finding it in the forums could end up being an exercise in frustration.)

    Where does this script go in DS3? I stopped using it after throwing a mouse at the monitor and breaking it in frustration.

    OBJ2PP2 is not for stripping out the OBJ Data from a PP2. Its for creating a PP2 from a model in DS without ever having to go through Poser.

    I have just uploaded the last version of the OBJ2PP2 exporter here - http://www.mediafire.com/?3m5gbz5f8bjjgjm
    I recommend it over the older versions cause the older versions will rename your surfaces and thats rather anoying.

    The OBJ2PP2 can go in any folder in your Content folder tree. I tossed my copy in the Scripts folder.

    Your welcome Shadowhawk. Though I cannot take credit for the textures or modeling for that matter! :)

    **UPDATE**

    The Ferengi Marauder at Trekmeshes has been converted for use in Poser and was sent back to Trekmeshes to be added. I do not know when it will be available

    The USS Volga has been updated again and hopefully for the last time. The new version should hopefully be up tomorrow.

    From the new Readme:

    ============================================================
    UPDATE: 2012-07-30
    ============================================================
    This should be the final update of the USS Volga. The old
    model had duplicated geometry of the wings which was my
    fault and those have been removed. The wings have also been
    properly welded so that there is no more addtional bones in
    the CR2 which are not required. This also makes it much
    cleaner looking and easier to figure out what bones to select
    in order to move pieces.
    ============================================================
    The scale of the Volga remains at 19m so that it works
    better with DAZ and Poser figures.
    ============================================================
    The new OBJ file has a different name then the old one.
    Please delete the old one manually if you do not want it
    laying around. Go to "Runtime/Geometries/Volga". The node
    names in the new CR2 were kept under the 15 character limit
    so that Poser 7 and earlier should not have an issue showing
    all parts of the model. The new CR2 file was created in DS3
    but was then saved out of Poser 8 so that all surfaces are
    set to render normals forward. For either program, tweaking
    the surface settings may not be a bad idea!
