Black Image

I ‘am working through (The Complete Guide to DAZ Studio 4 by Paolo Ciccone) and I ‘am chapter 5 the Render section what I ‘am finding when I import image it is black and grey but on saying that I find that with all the images I import but yet when I re-import an image that I save early that had been worked on in v4.6 it is fine the question is there a compatibility issue with early versions of DAZ.

Please can anyone help I have come to a standstill with book.

    I'm not sure I understand the question - though your screenshot appears not to have lights on the area in view, what happens if you turn off preview lights in the Window menu?
