    I don't think the animals in Sweden in general are like that - they also have wolves, for example, and they are considered quite dangerous. That's why I wonder how those in the park had become so tame.


    I did a search to see if I could find anything about the Swedish park, but didn't find anything. It seems though that tame squirrels are quite common. Here's some videos from London and Croatia:

    Would have loved to feed a squirrel by hand. Certainly they're much less creepy than spiders! Pity that here in Singapore you can never get near them. One wonders why there's such a great difference in their behavior from one place to another.


    (And I wonder if squirrels eat spiders?...)

    I wouldn't be surprised, they eat everything else! They've gnawed at one of my outdoor heavy duty extension cables. Fortunately it didn't go all the way through to the wires, just the inside insulations were exposed. I had to wrap it with electrical tape. So they obviously think electrical wire is food. (There is a species of cockroach that lives on insulation...they live their entire lives inside older TVs just munching away, until suddenly the set doesn't work!)

He disassembled, cut-up, and consumed bicycles, shopping carts, televisions, a Cessna 150,[2] and other items. The Cessna 150 took roughly two years to be "eaten," from 1978 to 1980. He began eating unusual material as a teenager around 16 years of age and performed publicly from 1966."
