Anyone find out how to do it? I'm stumped at the moment.

    Thanks Kattey, but it looks like Poser can't cope with the extra material zones on Genesis 2 Female like DAZ Studio can. It looks like the materials are being applied underneath the new material zones and aren't visible. Or is it just me? :)

    I have no Poser so I can't comment on this, sorry.

    I think you would have to buy the V4 shape for G2, then your presets for the V4 textures have to be in duf format, with the companion files in Poser.

    Yeah I have the DUF material files and saved them as Poser Companion .mc6 files. The problem is the new material zones I think though. When I load the .mc6 files nothing seems to happen. When I check the materials room the legacy materials have changed but not the new ones as in DAZ Studio. Does it mean new material settings would need to be created to use V4 texture and material sets in Poser with the Genesis 2 Female figure?

    Did you save the settings from a V4 or Genesis? If you saved from V4, it may not put the UV information into the file.

    Try applying the saved duf to V6, then save back again.

    OK, so I did all this:

    1. Loaded V4 in DAZ Studio
    2. Loaded the material preset
    3. Saved the material preset as a DUF
    4. Loaded Genesis 2 Female with Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female already installed
    5. Loaded the DUF material preset
    6. Switched the UV Map to V4 (looks good so far!)
    7. Saved the material preset as DUF again
    8. Closed everything down and loaded DAZ Studio again
    9. Loaded Genesis 2 Female with Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female already installed
    10. Loaded the DUF material preset from step 7. (everything working fine!)
    11. Created Poser Companion file (.mc6) from the DUF preset from step 7.
    12. Loaded Poser Pro 2012
    13. Loaded Genesis 2 Female with DSON Importer (all working fine!)
    14. Loaded the .mc6 created in step 11. with DSON Importer

    and........

    Nothing. Genesis 2 Female becomes TRANSPARENT!

    I checked the material room and the new material zones have all been set to transparent. Legacy material zones haven't been affected.

    I went back to DAZ Studio and looked at the options I had when saving the DUF material preset. Only the new material zones can be selected, not the legacy material zones.

    The process works great for DAZ Studio, but how do you get this working in Poser?

    Thanks to everyone who contributed their thoughts and ideas so far.

    You'll obviously need to put in some more extra work to set up SSS etc. in Poser, but it's a nice start.

    Thanks Adam!! I will try this, too - was beginning to think no one was still seriously trying to get Genesis 2 to work in Poser.

    Concerning SSS, EZSkin 2 worked for me after adding an entry to the config file (below, though I may have missed something, needs to be saved as .cfg):

    [OBJLOOKUP]
    GenesisFemale{44429336-2748-372d-7dce-acb9680bff93}.obj = DAZ Genesis2Female

    [DAZ Genesis2Female]
    Head = skin
    Legs = skin
    Fingernails = nails
    Eyelashes = eyelash
    Face = skin
    Feet = skin
    Sclera = sclera
    Tongue = tongue
    Hips = skin
    Preview = ignore
    Hands = skin
    Gums = gums
    Ears = skin
    Shoulders = skin
    Forearms = skin
    Nipples = skin
    Neck = skin
    Irises = iris
    Lips = lips
    Torso = skin
    EyeReflection = eyetrans
    Nostrils = nostrils
    Tear = tear
    Toenails = nails
    Pupils = pupil
    invisible = ignore
    InnerMouth = innermouth
    Cornea = cornea
    Teeth = teeth
    Lacrimal = lacrimal

    Ok, this seems to work. I hope there will eventually be a python script or plugin that can handle the texture conversion from inside Poser. I am pretty sure there is at least a considerable subset of Poser users who would be rather "allergic" to having to solve this in DS, so this might be just another barrier and source of frustration for Poser users. And in this case, I really would not buy the explanation that it's all SMs fault.

    But it works, so this is looking promising. I hope at least some of the people who might buy content for G2F will see this thread before they are completely frustrated by the lack of documentation. Here's an example of Danae's London texture on a toned G2F in Poser (not that it's really great, but it works, including the SSS).

    Thank you very much, that's great!

    But when I try to apply another V4 texture in Poser, nothing happens. I though (and hoped!) the V4 UVmap had been saved.
    How may I create a V4 UVmap for GenesisII working in Poser?

    Nobody knows how to make a V4 UVmap for GenesisII which works in Poser?

    The V4 UV map is the default, and Poser won't chnage it unless you apply a .duf material setting that uses a different uv set (and that will then persist until you again apply a .duf preset using a different set - Poser materials won't chnage the UV set).

    thank you for your answer.
    My english is poor, so you did'nt understand what I meant.
    I 'd like to apply at kind of material pose in poser which allow to use V4 textures on genesis II in poser, something like this (UV switcher by Mec4D) but for Genesis2

    Ah, sorry - I thought you meant Genesis 1. Do you have the Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female product - http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-for-genesis-2-female ?

    Not yet, but I ll get it soon if V4 textures can easily be used with Genesis II in Poser.
