A bit of a 'heads up' that there will be a new site to find high quality celeb inspired characters for V4/M4...

Perhaps not the place you'd first think of looking, WarTech's site (a.k.a. FoRender) will be starting to host characters by an established vendor - who may or may not be pulling out of another vendor site - I'm not an insider so I don't actually know the politics, I just know a good thing when I see it!

The first character just went live... vote from a list for the next V4/M4 character (quite a wide range of options from the likes of Abraham Lincoln to the more typical Britney Spears etc) -

    oh thank you! great site!

OMG! This is a really close resemblance to Michelle Trachtenberg:

    For $3.50, it's a no-brainer.

I don't see the resemblance at all.

Oh? Looks pretty close to me.

hm... it is generally pretty close in shape, but the 3d model's cheeks are a little fullery, and Michelle's eyes turn down a bit on the outer corners.

MDD makes really nice characters though so it is still a pretty good deal!

Obviously it needs to be modified for a more exact resemblance but it's the closest one I've seen so it's a good base.

Thanks for the heads-up! I haven't been to the site before, and there's cool weaponry and other stuff I appreciate knowing about, as well as the new line of characters. Neat.

No one I'm interested in on the list. :/ I wish odnajdy would do Gerard Butler--I'd love to see a good 3D version of him. I have Wert's, but it's not up to the quality of some of his other morphs. :(

Restless looks very similar in style to Exnem on Renderosity, could be them.

    I strongly disagree.

The packaging and promo rendering style look like signature odnajdy (to claims of the contrary). Exnem never includes custom character expressions while the other does.

Also, the 13/5/5 newsletter from FoRender states "This artist brings well known cinema characters to Poser World," which rules out exnem in terms of existing products.

the artist has posted a few times on FoRender as ExtraClones. all of the items there are very nice quality, they have some freebies you can get so you can see what they are like.

Just a heads up, if you're a Prime member on Rendo, you can grab the Wolverine/H. Jackman package - SAV's Volg Pack For M4 for just $3.50.

i think there are some Godin (VH) characters that are overlooked as celebrity lookalikes.

    VH Lian and Jamie Chung

    VH Yolenth and Riki Lindhome

i also think that these characters are celebrities but i do not know their names, they just look very familiar!

    VH Sylvie

    VH Haily

and of course i think already mentioned are these ones:
    VH Melanie and Megan Fox

    VHP Limei and Lucy Liu

Soon there will be Lucy Liu's new copy :)) Believe, it will be much more exact :))) In general, people often want to see what isn't present. Even at the minimum similarity.

    Stana Katic. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1065664/

And Castle is not a bad show. Almost as good as early Mentalist, at times.

I went through a period of making dialspun faces that were loosely based on celebrities and historical people-I was never very happy with them as likenesses, so I tended to be a bit coy about who they were based on, in the descriptions. This was also why I allowed them for commercial use. http://www.sharecg.com/pf/full_uploads.php?pf_user_name=odadune&PSID=d86c1f35ccdccf32dbca0ff2c289554a

Note: most require Morphus/Morphia in addition to Morphs++; my sole attempt at a Genesis morph requires the Evolution morph set, and looks better w/ some V5 (which didn't exist when I created her) dialed in.

Mmm, could be I suppose, the blurb on Rendo doesn't give much of a clue.
