Neil Blevins of Pixar has been doing some exellent work on Ptex and OpenSubDiv. I've posted links to that work in the relevant threads. But I also wanted to add that he has a DA Account. http://soulburn3d.deviantart.com/

It's very inspiring! It's easy for a DAZ PA to feel kind of out there alone vs. his or her customers because we hear from so few of them compared to the number that exist. Seeing people's renders is a great way to feel connected to the user base of this wonderful program we use. I trust there will be much sharing of useful information as well.

let me post my address before I forget.

I still haven't upload any new 3D or 2D art yet.

    My 3D and 2D landscapes sub-gallery: http://starionwolf.deviantart.com/gallery/12408642

    3D people (Victoria 3, 4, ect...) http://starionwolf.deviantart.com/gallery/23949604

The rest of my artwork is two-dimensional fanart.

You folks can add me to you watch list.

Edit: I forgot to mention that you can only see my artwork if you are logged into DeviantArt.com.

For everyone that's posted DA page since I last posted, thank you very much!

I just want to remind everyone and inform those of you who missed it: the purpose of this thread is to connect all of us here and on DeviantArt so that we can watch one another's progress, contribute to each other's learning, and grow in our own work and skills. I do understand that some of you have not got the time to watch everyone... but I encourage you to try it anyway... you never know when someone else's work will inspire you or teach you something you need to know.

It's pretty amazing. I can't comment on everyone's stuff. My initial blog on my DA page was in part about what I fave and comment on... I have to really like the work. Not owning any walls, I don't have anything to hang this stuff on, so it's more like I'm decorating my own virtual house :) But I really am astounded at the quality of work people are producing. It's both humbling and inspiring... And it's interesting to me that my favourite render artist, at the moment, is TeeCee... I never paid attention to his stuff on R.com... the galleries there are rather mediocre in the way they're set up, I like DA's so much more as it allows the artist to categorize his or her own work... anyway, it made it easier for me to see his stuff as he wanted it to be seen...

My dA page is http://fyranuanser.deviantart.com/ All my renderers are DAZ Studio/Reality/Luxrender. I post about two renders a week and only render male characters. I'm in 18 groups and of course it's a good way to get your work seen, but I choose them carefully to make sure they are sympathetic to DAZ/Poser type 3D (although they don't have to be groups specializing in 3D, as long as they have a good 3D section) and sympathetic to the sort of work I do, which in my case generally means male-oriented.

Hi to everyone in the thread who are already friends on dA—I've spotted quite a few!

*skims through the thread, adds a bunch of people* Whee! I wish more PAs would join this thread and add links to their accounts.

Mine is here! With freebies and stuff! Content is neatly tucked to folders, sorta kinda OCD about it...

Annnnnd, just to note, these PAs (who haven't been mentioned) also got DA accounts:

deviney (of Ron's * brushes fame)
    Lantios
    Mestophales
    OrestesGraphics
    Renderwelten (formerly Danmoria)

Wow. Deviney's work is effing gorgeous. I'm a harder sell on the "long-haired fantasy ladies standing outdoors" genre lately, but WOW.

And - mestophales Death of Sentinel? Epic. This is what I always wish comic book art looked like instead of how it usually does.

    Orestes can paint. Wow.

I can't believe the things I'm seeing today. THIS IS SO COOL.
