I would dearly love to do one or two of the Disney Princesses... special project I'd like to do for a very special little girl.

Has anyone ever approximated one? I imagine Aiko would be where one would start...

    thank you, Patience!!

I'm trying to decide whether to try to recreate Belle or Rapunzel, and I think I've settled on Belle (Rapunzel was 3D, and I'd have to be VERY faithful to the original...)

Damn, I wish I had her skin materials, though!

For a Rapunzel braid, check out Neftis's store. The Princess Braids set could be scaled to make a really long braid.

here's my first attempt at making Belle... I've only used the DieTrying morphs and Thorne's morph kits, so I might be able to combine and make it available (need to check on that) when she's done... I used the Tori texture, and I have yet to find a hair (might have to make one) that'll fit her...

Narrow the cheeks down, she's got serious chipmunk cheeks going on.

Found a face mask that might help:

better, but i'd shrink down those cheek bones a bit more. Belle was drawn in an anime style, which tends to overemphasize cheeks in certain angles. You'd be better off starting with Aiko 4 or Hitomi

thanks! I did that a little, but I'm trying to get her fairly close to the orginal artwork...

this one uses the Angelisa hair which seemed to be the closest thing I have to how she wears it and one of Chohole's MFD textures

Also, emphasize the temples. Belle's face is inward there. The lips are less width with more heart. Chin and jawline are perfect.

I don't think I have a morph for those temples... might have to make my own... and you are so right about the lips... the only problem is if I apply the heart lip morphs I have, it doesn't allow me to thin the upper lips without horrific deformations... so... well, workin on it :)

update: I think... well, what does everyone think?

MUCH better. I don't know what those morphs give you, but do they have a "thicker" upper or lower morph? I think the morphs for genesis call it Lower lip size and "Curve" for upper lip (which doesn't really work as far as sizing). The width helped ALOT! It's almost perfect. Just a little thickness and it'd be at perfect.

Her cheekbones shouldn't be so pronounced from the front view. Her cheeks curve out only slightly before going allllllmost straight down to the jawline [which should be pretty square from the front, but curve in profile].

Toon shader would show it off better.

profile, and the expression is from when she first see's the beast... that was the idea, anyway... Enlarged the irises to 1.1, though I think that's a Genesis evolution morph, so I'll not be using that if I make the face available...

    still working on hair...

The profile is pretty close. The corners of her jaw need to stick out to the sides a little more though. Her head shape isn't quite Belle's yet.

It seems the nose is far too long, originally she has a child-like shortish nose with the septum shorter too:-), the dip from brow to nose happens much lower down. As a consequence of all this the lips might have to be moved up a tad.

Eyebrows are wider apart and have more arch too. Hope these observations are of use to you.

Ps, just saw the newest version, eyebrow arch is much better though they're still too close. Profile and three quarter view seem pretty good compared to full face.

Now... I gotta, GOT TO, work on the hair.. I've started it three times, and I'm just frickin amazed it took me this long to figure out how to approach it...

    all observations are useful!

Eyebrows, I'll see if I can adapt the texture for that... but you're correct. I'll take a look at shortening the nose, but that might involve shortening her chin even more, which I'm not sure I can do without bad deformations...

With regard to the nose, one of the things I looked at was that. I think this is actually an optical illusion because of the overlarge eyes in the drawings. Wile I'd love to be perfectly faithful to the original, that's simply not possible without doing a lot of custom morph work... with the size of her eyes in my portrait, which are considerably smaller, everything else looks bigger.

You're correct about the dip, by the way. Her forhead is also a bit too sloped and that has to do with it... I'm searching for the morphs to correct this...

EDIT: okay, adjusted the nose ridge and the forhead, also widened the space between the eyes... NOW I AM REALLY GOING BACK TO WORK ON HER HAIR!!!

Just hopped back in. Love the expressions you have going :) Not sure the eyes needed to be wider apart but the eyebrows definately do, they begin right above the inner corner of the eyes if not a smidgen further out even, and are very definitive where likeness is concerned.

That special little girl will be tickled pink I'm sure and I look forward to seeing the finished version.

Misha, you're right about the brows, of course... I THINK I have her eyes where I want them. That little girl, Lauren, is the one who came to the Homeless Shelter last night.

    From the article:

Lauren Johnson, a fifth-grader at Sunset Elementary School in Livermore, started "Lauren's Love" by using her own savings to make care packages to donate to homeless shelters and others who are less fortunate. This week, Lauren plans on handing out chocolate bars she bought, wrapped and decorated for Valentine’s Day because Lauren says, "Homeless people need Valentines too."

So, here's the plan... once I get the modelling done, which will include a model of Chip, the little tea cup, I'll have Belle reading a book to Chip... the title will be "Tales of Lauren's Love"... oh yeah, need to model the book... :)

Lovely, lovely thing to do. Do post it when you're done with it please.
