Close object ?

I am creating letters that needs to be close top and bottom. Why can I not close the holes on this one letter? The other letters gives no problems?

Would be very happy to know...

    Ahh, Then I can also use the bridge tool. But I was more looking for why this happens? Pretty weird and I cannot find the reason for it?
