I am kinda surprised that no one has mentioned the 100 free Super-Hero poses I made for both the Mil3 and Mil4 figures.

    Very nice. Thanks Elfwine!

I don't really count them as Super-Heroes, no.

Power Rangers (as they are called here in the US) are indeed super heroes over in Japan.

I count them as super heroes! Just because they're not from Marvel or DC doesn't mean they're not super heroes. :)

Japanese Tokusatsu have more in common with heroes like Spider-Man, Nightwing, Daredevil, and a bunch of others. Even with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

With a bit of tweaking, the cast of Gatchaman/Battle of the Planets could certainly be a stand-in for the Batman family of characters. And Ultraman? Ultraman is, literally, one of the biggest heroes in the world.

They certainly have more in common with old-fashioned American super heroes than characters like Judge Dredd. I vote that if Dredd can make it to the list, then so can the Power Rangers.

End of soapbox. I'm prepared to be banned from this thread now...

Does anyone want work on some free superhero Genesis projects in the near future?

I would love that, RKane. I would LOVE it if someone would make a great Batman cowl for Genesis (all the previous ones crumble up too badly).

I'd model one myself in Hexigon but I'm not knowledgable enough in that area yet.

I would also do various different Super-Hero textures but so far, no one has shown any interest in my work so I'll keep those to myself.

    /agreed.

The cowl for M3 is quite crumply when fitted to Genesis.

I have the Worlds Finest cape but I have not investigated dynamic clothing yet.

I would LOVE if Joequick were to make his Golden Age set for Genesis but I don't think he feels it would be fun the second time around, which I can understand as he does stuff for the fun of it.

I propose we create a Batman using Joequick's new free suit and offer it for free to others in the spirit of this thread.

I can work on the basic Genesis figure to create a worthy Bruce (already have several morphs just for the occasion.)

    We will need:

    A Cowl
    A Cape
    A Utility Belt
    Boots
    Underwear on the outside
Texture for the JoeQuick's free suit

That's if we do classic bats.

If we do the updated spookier than thou Bats, we will need a dark, armor-like texture for the JoeQuick's free suit and DON'T need the underwear on the outisde.

What would everyone LIKE to see and what can you contribute for free?

If there are links to free items we can use already completed, even better.

This cowl should still be fine...it's an M4 item and should convert easily enough.

I'll give it a try, later...

(probably need to use SY's earless morph for Genesis)

    Yes, it converted nicely...

Also, since RAWart's Bat suit is basically using the M4 UVs, it applies quite nicely, manually.

The cape is a 'throw away'...a simple plane, shaped and draped in Blender...no, no chance of rigging it.

The texture and 'base' shape are Thomas for M4/Genesis by Pheonix1966.

The body and face were further refined with Ramwolff's morph pack.

I am 100% into this thread, 100% into what is being done by others and at this time 90% behind in converting my Gen4 heroes into Gene versions. I am also waiting one one DS4.5 plugin so I can push one of my characters that much farther into what it should look like instead of what it looks like now.

Keep up the good work one and all.

For the Batman cape, how about this free Batman cape, with lots of movement morphs, designed for M4 (called Men's Cape 1) located at:

    http://www.realmofsavage.com/ProjectBatman.htm

Included is a quick render of Batman with the cape.

I forgot to add that a utility belt, and a set of glove fins for those who don't have Joequick's fins, can also be found at the link I just posted. The utility belt and glove fins are included with the Batman Props & Textures download.

Oops. I didn't realize the link was broken. If you are still looking for the armor, try these other versions of the armor (these links are still good):

Armour Y (this works in DAZ Studio):

Armour X (this is in Carrara format, I believe):

If you looked on the list, Armor Z is listed. Muskateer Graphics may be gone (that had the armor) but Armor Z is still around. Here's the link that you can also find on the first page of this thread: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=51986

That armor will fit over M3.

What is the difference between Armors X,Y, and Z?

Also, thank you for this thread! I thought I had found all the superhero stuff around, but there are some real gems out there I hadn't seen.

Armor Z only works with M3, Armor Y is a stand-alone figure that works in Daz Studio, Armor X only works in Carrera.

The Armour Z download link from the Renderosity URL that you listed above (http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=51986) redirects you to a defunct website as far as I can tell. This is probably why this person was asking where the Armour Z can be found. If you could direct us to a working link of the Armour Z, that would be useful :-)

It only works if you click on Iron Man when Daz Studio is not running. I discovered that when I clicked on Iron Man, Daz Studio opens automatically with it loaded in the scene.

i just wish I was any good at texturing - I would kill for a good Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Catwoman texture - preferably for Genesis, whether it's the supersuit or Joe Quick's free bodysuit. :sigh: But I suck big time at texturing. (also desperately trying to do a Phantom texture...)

For Catwoman, check out this product: http://www.daz3d.com/shop/galaxy-for-genesis

As for Wonder Woman and Supergirl, what costume looks are you looking for?
