Black character dilemma

Hello -

I need a black-skinned female character. I am using Genesis with DAZ's V4 and M4 Shapes installed, but I do not have the V4 Base or V4 Morphs++. All of the black female characters I can find - even the ones "for Genesis" - seem to require the V4 Base and/or Morphs++. This seems very limiting, and expensive. There seem to be no black characters that truly "for Genesis" without Victoria support.

Can anyone recommend a cost-effective solution to this issue? I'd rather not have to buy the V4 Base and Morphs++ if I don't have to.

    That is no problem. If you need the skin (texture) only, you can use any character. The morphs are only needed if the character has a custom bodyshape that is made with these morphs. So if you do not need the shape but only the skin, it is ok for you.

    Characters that are made for Genesis and V4 always have 2 installers. One for Genesis and one for V4. So if you have Genesis and download the Genesis installer, you get the character for Genesis, including skin and shape.

    Then with those installed, between the two sets, you should be able to dial up something convincing...RAMWolff even has several 'ready made' head/face morphs and there's at least a couple 'ethnic' faces in those.

    For a skin, Reciecup has some nice free ones...

    Ah, thank you two! I forgot to mention that I do have DieTrying's morph set already. And I'll look into the other ones, and the skin mats. Thank you very much!

    Well, I can't thank you enough for your help. I am creating a character based on "Doll" at Render Candy, and she is spectacular, as is the product. I WILL be downloading his other free black gal character packs. Simply... phenomenal! Can't believe they are free.

    Is there a gallery here to post pics?

    Her packs...and the free ones are more or less the same as Reciecup's paid ones, except they didn't sell well or were originally done for a holiday give away or something similar.

    I don't use Doll nearly enough...she's great.
