@eireann.sg - a first Bryce render that is not a landscape! 5 out of 5 for starting with something else. And it looks cool, besides.

Except mine was a mountain island on an infinite plane of water. My second was a silver ball on the same water.

I just tried to start with something simple. No sky, no ground, just two spheres and one camera.
Made another one, I called it exploding planet.
good job!
fortunately for all involved, my first attempt at Bryce has been lost to the sands of time......

Yes, mine as well, A good many of my first attempts are lost in whatever place dead computers go to on their demise. THese are good,
