    I didn't find the orthographic view ;)..

    And, in fact, the ring don't need to be thicknessed ... it was just to show that thickness works on the ring but not on the top.

    Because my problem is that i can't apply any thickness to the top (half part or weld parts).

    The things you are talking about is my way to add some thickness to my top and be able to follow the rest of the tutorial ;)
    That is an extrusion of the bottom edge loop.

    sorry i couldnt help. there is a problem with everything but the ring. i would redo everything else. duplicate with symmetry, weld and then position and attach and weld the ring again. attached is where you find the ortho veiw.

    Is the top and ring already welded together? If so you can't apply thickness since the ring already has it.
