New Comic-Book Shaders for DAZ|Studio 3 and 4! Be a part of the best new noir since Bogart and Bacal!
I am pleased to announce the impending release of the Mephistopolis Comic shader pack, for DAZ|Studio and above. Render your femmes fatales with deadly allure, your greasy gunsels with flaming gusto, and your heroes like comics' Golden Age.

It is really easy to use but has lots of options for the adventurous... to change up the look.

Combining the gritty vintage look of traditional pulp comic pages and the modern versatility of 3Delight, the Mephistopolis shader renders smoother than bootleg hooch and faster than a lounge singer with a Saturday Night Special*. All standard color channels are included, with mappable textures, opacity and displacement— even texture tiling and rotation. True reflection and refraction— what other comic shader does that?

* Raytracing operations will cause some delay in overall render times.
<hr>
Now here's where your fun begins:

I am still assembling the presets for this package, and need to write a proper How-To manual as well, so I am offering interested parties the chance to try out the shader ahead of time and get their renders published in the DAZ Store. Give me your best promo images for these shaders. if I like them, I'll submit them (signed by you!) in the final product package. I want renders from DS3 as well as DS4 and DS4.6, so don't let your lack of upgrades stop you!

Entrants will receive the raw shader in DSB script format (DS3+ compatible), and are to submit between one and five images (multi-panel "comics pages" also accepted) rendered with the shader as candidates for the store slide show. Winning entries are included in the merchant package, (watermarked/signed with artist's credit) and winners receive a discount off the final purchase price for each chosen image. Images must comply with DAZ merchant image rules:

Compiled from the PA resource pages linked below:
Main Image(s)
• .jpg format
• No Nudity
• Focus is on Product being sold
• If image displays products sold separately, they should be products available at DAZ
• 450 X Appropriate Height
• Avoid awkward cropping, since it will be floating in white space
• Up To 5 Popups (Up To 500p Wide X 500p High)
• If you require more than 5 popups to display the product, please contact broker at daz3d dot com to have the exception approved
Thumbnail(s)
• .jpg format
• 90 Pixels By 70 Pixels
• Try To Avoid Awkward Cropping, Since It Will Be Floating In White Space

There are a variety of reasons why your product would be turned down:
We suggest that you start by looking at your product promo images. Your promo images are the #1 thing customers judge your product by, and therefore are the #1 thing that DAZ judges your product by.
Compare your images to some of the best selling products at DAZ 3D Store. Are your renders high quality and compelling? Do you use dramatic lighting? Does your product look like someone could reach out and touch it?
The best products and promos often require long render times and hours of work to achieve just the right look. A customer is not as interested in your back story, how hard you tried or how many years you have or have not trained. They are interested in what looks great and will look the best in their renders. As the product's creator, YOU should be the best authority on how cool your set can look. You Promos must show this.
NOTE0: The promo imagery is where a lot of products fall short in their overall appeal. The best product with the worst promo imagery will not garner any interest from the review teams nor the customer.
We suggest that prospective PA's have a look in the DAZ 3D Store for what type of imagery is being produced by existing PA’s. DAZ 3D does not allow nudity of any kind in our promos. One of the key elements most forgotten is good lighting and more importantly shadows. Shadows ground an item in a render and make it part of the background. Great lighting will only add to your promos.

http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/publishing/faq/pa_submission_should_include/start
http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/publishing/steps_to_publish/start
http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/publishing/faq/product_rejected/start

And if I don't pick your entries for the store promos, they may make it into the documentation. Either way, all images will be properly credited as original work by their respective artists, and if I include your images in the product manual, I'll send you a copy of that, too. I want it well-illustrated! PM me your email to get started.

The image below uses elements of "Gangster for M3 & the Freak" and "Monster Rat", both in the DAZ Store. This is a D|S 3.1 single-pass render.

        Hi,
Smile is new morph and pose set for Genesis,
One of the things that had been bugging me for a while is that standard smile morphs dont quite fit all the Genesis Shapes that well. (some better than others)
Smile is made up of 33 lip tweaks (pose sliders accessible from the Pose/head catagory) and 82 Presets for different Geneis shapes, so each smile is tailored specifically for that shape.
there are also some teeth morphs as a bonus, with a focuss on snaggle and Buck teeth.

Please note that "Genesis Evolution: Expressions" are required for the Presets to work correctly
But the smille tweak pose sliders can be used out of the box on any genesis shape.
Hi everyone, my new shader preset pack has just been released: Urban Evnironment Shaders, for DAZ Studio. The set contains 50 preset shaders (and 3 optional quick and easy tile size prests) with a varitety of realistic urban textures each with a choice of desing/colour:

Brick
Painted brick
Cracked Paint
Asphalt
Tactile
Rust
Metal plating
Concrete
Paving
Hazard lines
Plaster

These are great for giving a new look to your existing scenes or transforming simple DS primitives to realistic features such as walls and floors. The pack comes with a PDF guide for newer DS users on how apply the shaders and where to find controls to make any changes to tile size or vertical/horizontal tiling if desired.

This new release on sale for two weeks (from 14th May) as well as other shaders and materials from my store.

Here are just a few DS renders of Urban Environment Shaders, but you can see images for all of the shaders on the product page here: http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/urban-environment-shaders-for-daz-studio
This is a six-pack of smartprop whips for Genesis in DS4.5. They come with left, right and center presets, so you can use them as props, or you can have characters dual-wield them. All of them come with blood options. As much as possible I've tried to work from historical sources and be realistic. It is truly amazing what humans have done to one another in the name of corporal punishment over our long history.

You can also catch a glimpse of the iron star scourge in the last promo for the Behemoth.

Here they are in my store.

These have ERC Pose Controls to move each strand and, on the multiple whips, to move them all together. They are easier to use than any whip product to date!
