Damascus, or "watered" steel was the pinnacle of the sword maker's art. Steel of varying hardness were folded, sometimes many of thousands of times, to form a blade with a hard cutting edge and a flexible spine.
Inside this set you'll find the Artiglia d'Aguila (the Eagle's Claw), a finely crafted long sword built to real world standards complete with a Damascus steel blade, eagle engraved bronze guard, and a brown woven leather grip.
Complimenting the sword are forty five historically accurate long sword poses. Twenty one poses are single stances for V4 that encompass the guards, strikes and cuts, while the remaining 24 poses make up six 'close in' dynamic duels scenarios for V4 and M4 that utilize the basic "strikes" in medieval sword play. (These are different than the duels included in the Sword Play - Long Swords and Poses for M4 - although you are welcome to mix and match to increase your sword play options. The Artiglio d'Aguila sword will work with either set - just remember to use the sword "tweak" poses included.)
